My name is Samantha Cobos, and my love of textiles began while working as an interior designer. I was always drawn to the textures, colors, and natural materials that bring warmth and character to everyday spaces. That passion eventually led me from designing interiors to creating something people could carry every day.

In 2014, I founded nest PURE.

A trip to Portugal gave me the opportunity to visit cork oak forests firsthand. Standing beside these remarkable trees deepened my appreciation for cork—not only for its natural beauty, but also for the centuries-old tradition of harvesting it sustainably without harming the tree.

Today, every bag and accessory is handcrafted by me in Minneapolis using natural cork. I love that it's lightweight, water resistant, durable, and a beautiful alternative to leather.

I'm completely self-taught in bag design and sewing. Every pattern, every stitch, and every collection has come from years of curiosity, experimentation, and a genuine love of creating things by hand.

My goal has always been simple: to create beautiful bags you'll enjoy carrying every day and continue reaching for year after year.
